Do you have plans for the Milestone characters (other than Static in the Teen Titans) after the Brave and Bold stories?
DiDio: At this particular time, we have Static in the Teen Titans, and we're looking at a storyline that might be built around Static later in the run. But right now, no other plans.

Looks like those who were waiting for the Icon or Hardware fix will be stuck in limbo for who knows how long. I had a feeling this was going to happen though, when I went to san diego comic con, there wasn't a single thing dedicated towards milestone, seeing as it was just a few years ago where they made the annoucement. that milestone was being introduced into the main DCU. Not surprising at all.
So glad I'm going the self publishing route.
Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.
Yep. Who'd a thunk it?
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone. The fools, they had a whole universe-within-the-universe to play with all sort of fancy and unique characters (if anything a Kwai/WW or a Kwai/Batman [Bruce Wayne of course] or an AquamarÃa/Swamp Thing crossover in Brave and the Bold, not to mention the original run of the Dharma machinations within JLA written by Maestro would have been cool but then again...
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone. It looks like DC is only concentrating on Static for the moment.
Well... here's hoping that Static at least becomes big enough that he can serve as a gateway character (with a possible gateway series) for the other Milestone characters. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/M ... ewaySeries
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.
How big does Static have to get? Maybe a top-rated TV show? No? Plans for a Static monthly were scrapped by DC last spring. Based on their actions, they never really wanted to publish the Milestone stuff, they wasted my time. We could have done a little deal for them to use Static without me having to spend so much money on lawyers.
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.I knew it. I effin well knew it.
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.
I meant in terms of current fans and/or people who didn't watch the show. I was shocked to find out how many people actually thought Static was a new character when he debuted in Terror Titans. Aside from hardcore fans like me, it looks like the fan interest would have to be built up back into the character (again) especially since the original solo comic has ended and the show has been off the air for so long until Disney XD recently (Nevermind the crap way in which the show was cancelled. Unfortunately, this is what happens when characters don't get constant media penetration outside of comics. It's why characters like Superman, Batman, Spider-Man and Hulk are so popular. Fan popularity (or even fan knowledge) dies out. Static should have gotten another cartoon after Static Shock.
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone. Not surprising. Disappointing, but not surprising.
Re: Looks Like DC drops the ball with Milestone.
Static Shock currently runs on Disney XD four times a day. I know that's somehow not as good as appearing in Teen Titans, a comic with over 20 thousand readers, but I'm not sure why.
