I just read a half dozen or so reviews of JLA #30 that all refer to it as the “conclusion” of a three part story arc. I don’t have my copy of the issue yet, so I don’t know if there’s a “Part 3 of 3″ on the cover, or if there was some solicitation error that gave this impression. Maybe it was my doing, and somehow the ending of #30, with the hench-villain defeated, but still proclaiming the imminent arrival of his much more powerful master, while yet another villain reveals that he is holding something over Icon’s head and is forcing him to do bad things he doesn’t want to do, and that there will be more, was somehow ambiguous on the point. So let me clarify: JLA #30 was part three of a seven part story. There are another eighty-eight pages of the story remaining. It won’t be over until June.

Saturday, February 14th, 2009Milestone Retrospective in Wizard Magazine #209
Tuesday, February 10th, 2009Not mentioned on this cover.
No, really! I know it isn’t blurbed on any of the three alternate covers, but there’s an extensive roundtable interview, reuniting me with Milestone Co-Founders Denys Cowan and Michael Davis (Derek Dingle has far too much class to show up for something like this). We talk about the history of the company, argue about how we named it, tell a good story about Mark Gruenwald, and then I let slip a huge secret about the upcoming Milestone mini-series that concludes our original continuity… or does it?
Not mentioned on this cover either.
Yep. Oh for three. We’re in there, though.
